How to solve the problem of windows credentials window appearing while accessing a website

I was facing a problem with having windows credentials to be entered every time a tried to access
a website hosted on another machine. Also after entering the correct password i was not able to access the website.
I tried adding the URL to the trusted sites and also tried removing all the stored windows username
and passwords.But no luck.

On Net i then found a solution that worked for me
The problem you see is a browser issue, not an IIS one.  IE won't pass credentials to a site unless it's in the intranet security zone or the same domain.  IP addresses aren't a domain or machine name so IE sees them as internet zone and won't pass credentials.  To fix this, add the IP address to the intranet zone in IE's security tab.

Clearing the credentials for connecting to Microsoft Test Manager

Clearing the credentials for connecting to a Team Foundation Server

Ran in to a situation a couple of days ago where i needed to log into a Microsoft Test Manager as a different user - and since Visual Studio/Team Explorer "remembers" your last credentials you don't have a chance to re-enter these credentials.  This information is cached even after removing and re-adding the server in team explorer.  Which begs the question - where is it cached?

Turns out we are relying on Windows to do this for us.  To dump this cache all you need to do is go to control panel > User Accounts > Manage Your Network Passwords select the Team foundation Server and choose remove - viola! Next time you go into Team Explorer you will be prompted for a new set of credentials.
